Senior Compliance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Provide consultation to significant defined contribution and/or defined benefit clients regarding strategies that align retirement benefit programs with business objectives and goals in compliance with ERISA and other regulatory standards.

• Facilitate in-depth strategic discussions with clients to gain insights into their business and employee benefit programs.

• Oversee the development, implementation, and delivery of projects.

• Assist in generating innovative solutions for new and prospective clients.

• Enhance and expand existing client relationships.

• Collaborate within a team-oriented and dynamic work environment.

• Inspire associates and foster a fulfilling and productive work atmosphere.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree.

• Over 12 years of experience in the retirement benefits sector and/or consulting for large organizations.

• Juris Doctorate (with ERISA specialization) or equivalent qualifications (e.g., ASPPA CPC).

• Extensive knowledge of qualified Defined Contribution and Defined Benefit plans, as well as non-qualified retirement design, compliance, and taxation issues.

• Familiarity with legislative and regulatory requirements (ERISA/IRS/DOL).

• Proven experience in drafting and/or reviewing qualified and non-qualified plan documents, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPDs), and other necessary employee benefit plan materials.

• Experience with IRS/DOL correction programs and submissions.

• Exceptional collaboration and influence skills across various groups.

• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Must not require immigration sponsorship for this position.
