This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversees the annual merit and off-cycle compensation processes, which include data validation, testing, and reporting.
• Facilitates comprehensive incentive and recognition programs throughout their entire lifecycle.
• Engages proactively with leaders and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to grasp workforce plans, talent requirements, and financial limitations for the designated business units.
• Presents well-founded recommendations that outline clear trade-offs, return on investment (ROI), and considerations for risk and compliance.
• Tracks outcomes and feedback; refines programs and guidelines to enhance fairness, competitiveness, and simplicity.
• Conducts analysis on market pricing and prevalence of base pay, incentives, recognition, and various programs.
• Analyzes and maintains salary structures and geographic pay zones.
• Creates and provides compensation education for HRBPs, Talent Acquisition, and people leaders regarding compensation principles, program updates, and market trends.
• Develops and supports toolkits and communication materials for total rewards aimed at managers.
• Oversees complex compensation projects, conducts thorough analyses, and presents actionable recommendations.
• Offers compensation consulting services for assigned departments at the director level and below.
• Directs the creation, revision, and governance of job descriptions to ensure a robust job architecture.
• Advises on job evaluations, communicates evaluation outcomes, and provides insights on pay implications.
• Configures and maintains the MarketPay and Workday compensation modules.
• Identifies areas for automation and process enhancements.
• Ensures adherence to compensation laws, regulations, and internal controls, including FLSA exemption analysis and pay transparency mandates.
• Conducts pay equity analyses as necessary.
• Bachelor's degree in business or a related field, or equivalent relevant professional experience.
• A minimum of five years of experience in compensation or a related field.
• Experience within the insurance sector is preferred.
• Strong understanding of compensation terminology, market pricing, and compliance with compensation regulations.
• Proficient knowledge of compensation management within HRIS, preferably Workday.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Capable of eliciting pertinent information and making sound recommendations.
• Advanced skills in Excel; familiarity with MarketPay and Workday is advantageous.
• Strong analytical capabilities and meticulous attention to detail.
