This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Offer essential guidance and support to our clients, representing HH Angus with expertise and coordination throughout the commissioning process.
• Oversee Commissioning projects as assigned, including diverse buildings and projects of varying sizes and complexities in both new construction and existing structures.
• Exhibit an intermediate level of technical knowledge in mechanical, electrical systems, and the fundamentals of building envelopes and assemblies.
• Demonstrate proficiency in project management and the delivery of commissioning services.
• Prepare documentation and report on all commissioning progress updates for projects, ensuring they are directed to the appropriate internal departments and external project stakeholders.
• Effectively communicate with clients to coordinate design and scheduling requirements, while developing scalable systems for efficient processing of reporting data on upcoming projects.
• Visit project sites to confirm installations align with design intent and contract documents, providing technical reports and/or site visit reports as necessary.
• Show a strong level of technical and commissioning knowledge to support formal reviews of various documentation, such as contractor work plans, ITPs, and commissioning test scripts; participate in commissioning coordination meetings and site reviews as required.
• Possess a robust knowledge and experience in facilities operations and management, which would be advantageous for supporting facility startup, training, demonstrations, acceptance, and handover to the post-occupancy/warranty phase.
• Accountable for forecasting commissioning program needs to meet contractual obligations and ensure financial performance of the project.
• Serve as the primary designated team lead and point of correspondence, managing the filing system for reports and projects.
• Collaborate effectively with consultants across all disciplines to survey sites, verify conditions, and ensure the safe operation of equipment systems, providing comprehensive technical reporting.
• Offer diagnostic support on various levels of complex projects and troubleshoot as necessary; the ideal candidate will be solutions-oriented in supporting clients and project stakeholders.
• At least 6 years of experience in mechanical and electrical commissioning.
• Basic understanding of building envelopes and assemblies, including envelope testing and commissioning requirements.
• A graduate of a technical college or university program is mandatory.
• Strong reporting and presentation skills with an excellent ability to manage projects.
• Minimum of 5 years of collective engineering field experience in the healthcare, commercial, and critical environment building sectors.
• Intermediate proficiency in HVAC systems.
• Advanced capabilities in recording and reporting information using commissioning industry software and platforms.
• Ability to operate effectively under pressure while remaining organized and focused on work prioritization.
• Demonstrate accountability and reliability in meeting project schedules and deliverables, maintaining a high standard of work quality.
• Professional commissioning certification designations such as BCxP or CCP in good standing will be considered an asset.
