This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Oversee the implementation of commissioning test protocols for designated systems, which includes pre-functional checklists, functional performance evaluations, and integrated systems assessments.
• Assess and contribute to commissioning test scripts, Method of Procedures (MOPs), punch lists, and turnover documentation.
• Act as a field-level technical expert for diagnosing and addressing commissioning issues across electrical and controls disciplines.
• Collaborate with trade contractors and subcontractors to schedule, sequence, and facilitate commissioning operations on-site.
• Confirm installation conditions align with approved drawings, submittals, and specifications to ensure readiness for testing.
• Monitor and drive the resolution of outstanding deficiencies, ensuring accurate record-keeping and prompt resolution.
• Assist with integrated systems testing and reliability demonstrations for critical Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP), and Energy Performance Management Systems (EPMS) infrastructure.
• Engage in factory witness testing and startup validation tasks as assigned.
• Maintain thorough and precise commissioning records, field reports, and turnover documentation.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to Junior Commissioning Engineers (CxE) in the field.
• Ensure compliance with Crusoe commission requirements and gather feedback from the field to enhance the commissioning program.
• Clearly communicate progress, risks, and technical challenges to the management team.
• Follow and help enforce site safety protocols and compliance standards throughout all phases of commissioning.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in data center commissioning, building systems, or critical infrastructure construction.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline; equivalent practical experience is acceptable (CxA certification is a plus).
• Strong grasp of data center systems, including power distribution and EPMS systems.
• Familiarity with commissioning levels L1 to L5, along with the associated documentation and testing requirements.
• Capability to independently conduct and troubleshoot functional and integrated system tests.
• Skilled in reading and interpreting construction drawings, single-line diagrams, submittals, and equipment specifications.
• Excellent documentation skills with the ability to manage multiple open items accurately in a fast-paced field setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the capability to coordinate effectively across trades, contractors, and internal project teams.
• Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary (approximately 75% travel).
