This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Reports to the Manager of Radiological Engineering.
β’ Specializes in radiological and nuclear analyses, particularly in the licensing writing and defense for pressurized light-water reactors.
β’ Conducts engineering calculations and analyses utilizing industry-standard methods and simulation tools.
β’ Develops solutions for complex challenges that demand creativity and innovation.
β’ Plans, organizes, and executes innovative and intricate engineering assignments as part of a team.
β’ Engages with management and senior personnel from customer organizations.
β’ Provides mentorship and training to junior engineers.
β’ Performs additional duties as assigned.
β’ A minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in nuclear engineering or radiological health physics from a four-year ABET accredited college or university is mandatory.
β’ At least 8 years of full-time relevant experience in nuclear/radiological engineering or health physics is necessary.
β’ 2-3 years of additional or concurrent experience in PWR or BWR license development and defense is required.
β’ Must be eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.
