Senior Commissioning Advisor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Leading the commissioning activities of a combined cycle power plant at the site.

• Ensuring that all systems are installed, tested, and functioning according to project specifications, safety standards, and operational requirements.

• Developing comprehensive commissioning plans, timelines, and execution strategies.

• Coordinating with project management, engineering, construction, and operations teams to synchronize commissioning activities with overall project goals.

• Overseeing the testing, inspection, and validation of plant systems, including gas turbines, steam turbines, generators, heat recovery steam generators (HRSGs), and auxiliary equipment.

• Identifying, troubleshooting, and resolving any technical or operational issues encountered during commissioning and start-up.

• Ensuring that systems are commissioned effectively and are prepared for safe and reliable operation.

• Preparing regular updates on progress, reports, and technical findings for both internal and external stakeholders.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, or a related field).

• A minimum of 7 years of commissioning experience in the power generation sector, particularly with combined cycle power plants.

• Willingness to travel and work remotely at construction sites.

• Capability to engage in long-term remote assignments supporting project installation up to 100% of the time.

• At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, showcasing project and contractor's planning and coordination skills.

• Proven problem-solving and analytical abilities.

• Familiarity with pertinent industry standards, codes, and regulations.

• Ability to perform effectively under pressure in a dynamic project environment.

• Strong organizational communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

• Experience collaborating within cross-functional and multicultural project teams.

• Flexibility to adapt to shifting project priorities and site conditions.
