Senior Commercial Title Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Michigan.

📋 Description

• Perform comprehensive examinations of property histories to identify any defects, encumbrances, or restrictions.

• Review legal documents to ensure they are accurate and comply with applicable regulations.

• Create detailed title reports and provide recommendations for resolving identified issues.

• Address complex title challenges by collaborating with managers, underwriters, and other stakeholders.

• Conduct thorough research of public records to confirm title information.

• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, and legal obligations.

• Effectively communicate with internal clients to respond to their inquiries.

• Work alongside team members to ensure seamless real estate transactions.

• Provide training and mentorship to junior staff members.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in title insurance abstracting, examination, or underwriting/risk.

• Senior-level experience in examining commercial properties.

• Strong knowledge of title insurance, real estate, banking, and the mortgage sector.

• Proficiency in Microsoft 365.

• Familiarity with title industry software (e.g., Resware, SoftPro Select).

• Exceptional communication skills and a proactive, positive approach.

• Ability to work autonomously and manage complex title/escrow risk assessments.
