
Senior Commercial Finance Manager – Contract

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +15 more states.
• Take ownership of recurring revenue reporting workflows, which include maintaining daily/weekly files, managing revenue trackers, creating attainment dashboards, and performing variance analysis to ensure accuracy and timely delivery on a daily basis.
• Prepare and update materials for executive presentations related to KPIs, Board of Directors meetings, and Senior Leadership Team discussions, including slide modifications and supporting data files.
• Perform variance analysis on revenue fluctuations and provide clear, concise explanations that clarify the "what" and "why" behind performance trends.
• Assist in setting quarterly sales targets by reconciling forecasts and identifying areas of risk and opportunity for leadership discussions.
• Manage the commercial commission review process by synthesizing attainment data, spotting trends, and delivering analysis that informs leadership on compensation and incentive matters.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses for Revenue, Go-To-Market (GTM), and Commercial leadership to support decision-making within the quarter.
• Maintain and enhance the core financial reporting infrastructure by identifying opportunities to improve accuracy, decrease manual efforts, and enhance consistency across deliverables.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Revenue, Sales Operations, and GTM teams to gain insights into business drivers and translate them into financial perspectives.
• Implement a quality assurance process for all outputs by identifying anomalies, verifying data integrity, and ensuring that deliverables are accurate and error-free.
• Provide dependable coverage on all recurring deliverables during peak periods.
• Utilize independent judgment to prioritize analyses and sequence deliverables to maximize impact for commercial leadership.
• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field with over 12 years of relevant experience, or a Master's degree with more than 8 years of experience.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and Google Sheets, with the ability to build, troubleshoot, and independently maintain complex reporting files.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to work across multiple data sources and resolve discrepancies.
• Exceptional communication skills, able to format data effectively for executive audiences and draft clear, concise commentary.
• Experience in supporting executive-level reporting, including KPI reviews, Board materials, and SLT presentations.
• Ability to quickly adapt to existing processes and deliver results reliably with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to succeed in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
• Experience in commercial finance or sales finance, ideally within a high-growth or ad tech context.
