Senior Commercial Counsel

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the go-to-market team by assessing and negotiating customer contracts. This position will cater to the Americas, including LATAM.

• Oversee intricate cross-border transactions with sophisticated parties across various jurisdictions.

• Keep track of and provide guidance on pertinent regulatory, compliance, and legal changes.

• Deliver training, update and maintain policies and templates, and create scalable workflows to facilitate and promote the company’s growth.

⛳️ Requirements

• Exceptional academic qualifications and active membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar, eligible to practice in your state of residence.

• 6-9 years of relevant experience, featuring substantial training at a top-tier national or international law firm.

• Experience in both law firm and in-house settings at a rapidly growing technology company is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in drafting, negotiating, finalizing, and advising on complex commercial software and SaaS agreements with enterprise customers, partners, and resellers across multiple jurisdictions.

• Strong comprehension of commercial legal matters related to SaaS and software licensing, professional services, and other go-to-market initiatives.

• Solid familiarity with agreements governed by California or New York law and legal provisions.

• Excellent judgment, a strong business focus, and the ability to convert legal risks into practical business advice.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and management abilities, along with the capacity to establish trust with sales teams, cross-functional stakeholders, and customers.

• Exceptional attention to detail, robust organizational skills, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.

• Experience in supporting a high-growth infrastructure SaaS company is advantageous.

• Experience in LATAM is a plus.
