This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.
β’ Conducts a range of collection activities such as making collection calls, sending correspondence, negotiating payment arrangements, and keeping accurate records of all communications.
β’ Delivers customer service concerning collections-related issues, processes customer refunds, reviews account adjustments, and addresses client discrepancies.
β’ Accountable for the collection of highly complex and challenging accounts and situations.
β’ Engages in specialized collection tasks, gathering detailed financial information and negotiating resolutions.
β’ Supports team members with challenging or intricate accounts and situations by leveraging technical expertise in collections, procedural guidelines, and industry knowledge.
β’ Prepares weekly and monthly updates along with status reports on outstanding delinquencies.
β’ Provides financial counseling to discuss and resolve debt situations within established parameters.
β’ High School diploma or an equivalent qualification.
β’ Generally requires 4 to 7 years of experience in high-volume commercial collections.
β’ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with strong negotiation and active listening abilities.
β’ Comprehensive understanding of billing procedures, collection techniques, and accounts receivable processes.
β’ In-depth knowledge of state and federal Fair Debt Collection Laws, the US Bankruptcy Code, and related bankruptcy procedures and regulations.
β’ Familiarity with mainframe systems such as Oracle or other related operating systems.
