Senior COBOL Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance programs and systems within a Mainframe setting.

• Proactively assist and resolve intricate incidents in production settings.

• Implement and oversee batch and online processing, ensuring adherence to SLAs.

• Conduct technical and business impact assessments to minimize risks during deployments.

• Engage in code reviews and technical improvements alongside the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology-focused discipline.

• Experience working within Mainframe environments.

• Skilled in traditional programming languages and tools: COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS.

• Strong background with VSAM file systems.

• Significant experience in high-volume batch processing and online transactions.

• Knowledge of version control tools (Endevor, Changeman, or similar).

• Demonstrated experience in Agile environments (Scrum/Kanban).

• Willingness to work night shift hours from 22:00 to 06:00.
