This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Serve as the primary engineer for Product Engineering epics and stories.
• Operationalize new repeatable Ensono public cloud services and solutions.
• Establish and refine public cloud technical standards to guarantee repeatability, supportability, scalability, and security.
• Provide insights on the technical stack, including research, assessments, bake-offs, and proof of concepts.
• Evaluate and integrate new AWS and GCP services in alignment with the Product roadmap.
• Lead the implementation of automated infrastructure and systems utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IAC), configuration management, and scripting.
• Offer subject matter expertise and guidance to pre-sales architects regarding our technical standards.
• Serve as the final escalation point and support for the cloud operations team during significant issues.
• Stay proactively informed about public cloud services and associated technologies.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in supporting highly customer-centric, mission-critical environments (e.g., prominent web or enterprise infrastructure) is essential.
• At least 5 years’ experience in architecting, engineering, or supporting public cloud solutions on AWS or GCP.
• Strong understanding of AWS or GCP best practices, security considerations, and architectural design patterns.
• Experience in implementing and supporting public cloud-based workloads and services.
• Possess multiple current AWS or Google Cloud Certifications (or demonstrate equivalent knowledge).
• Experience in building solutions using Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Familiarity with configuration management systems (e.g., Ansible).
• Strong knowledge and experience with Linux operating systems (RHCE or equivalent knowledge).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Perl, or Bash.
• Experience using Git for version control.
• Familiarity with the AWS or GCP CLI and scripting against it.
• Experience in working with, designing, deploying, or supporting containerized environments (ECS/EKS/Kubernetes/Docker) is advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with Jenkins or other CI/CD pipeline technologies is beneficial.
• Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity and quality (e.g., Copilot/Claude/Kiro).
• Solid understanding of TCP/IP.
• A degree in a computing-related field is preferred, or equivalent skills and knowledge.
• Experience in ITIL and Agile environments is a plus.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Capable of sharing knowledge through clear and concise documentation, as well as demos/presentations.
• Able to implement supportable solutions and simplify complex concepts.
• Demonstrate organized and efficient work habits without close supervision.
• Must be self-motivated, a proactive self-starter, and possess a positive work attitude.
