Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Italy.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain reusable infrastructure components on the Cycloid Internal Development Platform.

• Create and publish reusable service catalog components for engineering teams.

• Design, prototype, and validate innovative cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Ensure that platform components adhere to security, availability, reliability, and operational standards.

• Provide guidance to engineering teams on cloud provider selection, infrastructure architecture, and platform best practices.

• Assist in the provisioning and onboarding of new cloud environments.

• Collaborate with solution architects, project managers, and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

• Engage in Cloud Centre of Excellence initiatives and contribute to the overall platform strategy.

• Create high-quality operational and technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree (EQF Level 7 or equivalent).

• Proficiency in English (minimum B2).

• EU nationality and a willingness to secure the necessary security clearance.

• Over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale AWS or Azure environments.

• A minimum of 1 year of hands-on experience with one or more sovereign cloud providers (Clever Cloud, STACKIT, Scaleway, or S3NS) using Terraform.

• At least 6 months of practical experience with Cycloid.

• Strong expertise in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform.

• Experience in designing reusable cloud platforms and infrastructure components.

• Demonstrated ability to advise engineering teams on cloud architecture and infrastructure decisions.

• Exceptional documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
