Senior Cloud Platform Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Finland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and maintain reusable infrastructure components on the Cycloid Internal Development Platform.

• Build and publish reusable service catalog components for engineering teams.

• Create, prototype, and validate innovative cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Ensure that platform components adhere to security, availability, reliability, and operational standards.

• Provide guidance to engineering teams on selecting cloud providers, infrastructure architecture, and platform best practices.

• Assist in the provisioning and onboarding of new cloud environments.

• Collaborate with solution architects, project managers, and technical stakeholders to deliver scalable cloud solutions.

• Engage in Cloud Centre of Excellence initiatives and contribute to the overall platform strategy.

• Generate high-quality operational and technical documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master's degree (EQF Level 7 or equivalent).

• Proficiency in English (minimum B2).

• EU nationality with a commitment to obtain the necessary security clearance.

• Over 10 years of experience in designing, implementing, and administering large-scale AWS or Azure environments.

• At least 1 year of hands-on experience with one or more sovereign cloud providers (Clever Cloud, STACKIT, Scaleway, or S3NS) using Terraform.

• A minimum of 6 months of practical experience with Cycloid.

• Strong background in Infrastructure as Code utilizing Terraform.

• Experience in designing reusable cloud platforms and infrastructure components.

• Demonstrated ability to advise engineering teams on cloud architecture and infrastructure decisions.

• Exceptional documentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

• Nice to Have: Experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or IBM Cloud.

• Nice to Have: Experience in Cloud Centres of Excellence or Platform Engineering teams.

• Nice to Have: Background in regulated or security-sensitive environments.

• Nice to Have: Familiarity with ITIL or enterprise change management practices.
