• Oversee AWS network administration, security, configuration management, and maintenance of multiple Virtual Private Clouds (VPCs), Security Groups, Load Balancers, Web Application Firewalls, and associated cloud-based network architecture for a custom-built enterprise system.
• Execute network configuration modifications using the Infrastructure-as-a-Service model, formulate network designs, and apply cloud security best practices.
• Ensure the continuous stability and operational efficiency of both internal and external connections, including Direct Connect (DX).
• Strengthen cloud networking environments to meet compliance with FedRAMP Moderate/High, NIST 800-53, and Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) standards.
• Offer technical expertise across all facets of network and software interconnection and interfacing, including Application Load Balancers (ALBs), Network Load Balancers (NLBs), Security Groups, gateways, and more.
• Conduct requirements gathering, gap analysis, technical studies, risk assessments, and vendor selection for cloud networking initiatives and system enhancements.
• Collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Systems Engineering teams to ensure compliance and optimal performance.
• Engage in a 24/7 on-call rotation for Production systems, investigating, mitigating, and resolving network-related issues in accordance with Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Maintain processes and technical documentation, including network diagrams, etc.
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder with the capability to obtain and maintain HHS Public Trust clearance.
• A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or higher in System Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline is required.
• Must possess either an AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified Advanced Networking Certification.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in managing and designing AWS-based networks for large, enterprise-level systems.
• Expert-level experience in AWS, including VPCs, VPN Gateways, EC2 Instances, and Route53.
• Strong skills and knowledge in Infrastructure-as-Code (CloudFormation, Terraform, Ansible) and scripting (Python, Bash), including AWS Lambda.
• Demonstrated, hands-on experience with Agile/Scrum/Lean software development methodologies.
• Proven ability to prepare and present technical documentation to diverse audiences.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with experience in a highly collaborative work environment.
