Network Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Deliver daily assistance to various clients across multiple scenarios, including Transport and Routing support during the deployment of products in the Client Environment.

• Provide support for WAN technologies such as SD-WAN and IPsec VPN, along with routing technologies like BGP, OSPF, MPLS, etc.

• Assist with Cloud-based Deployments, including VNF (Virtual Network Functions) and CNF (Container Networking Functions).

• Engage hands-on with Packaging solutions that support OSP (Open Stack Platform - Heat/Hot Templates) and other cloud-based platforms.

• Implement network infrastructure as code using Python, Ansible, and Terraform.

• Manage Network Management and Product deployment in the Client Environment, including transport and CSE for clients.

• The position requires a strong understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VxLAN protocols, as well as L2/L3 VPNs.

• Candidates should possess a solid understanding of 4G LTE/5G Core and Mobile Private Networks.

• The ability to work effectively within a team and manage multiple projects at the same time is crucial.

• Strong problem-solving abilities are necessary to address and resolve current deployment, packaging, and security challenges while effectively mitigating future risks.

• Furthermore, the candidate should be able to manage and coordinate project workflows, resolve security vulnerabilities, and efficiently handle troubleshooting calls.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent industry experience.

• Experience in classic Network Engineering.

• Familiarity with MPN (Mobile Private Networks) is a plus.

• Understanding and hands-on experience with BGP and OSPF routing protocols, including deployment and troubleshooting.

• Experience in cloud networking across various cloud platforms.

• Knowledge of fundamental concepts in OSP (Open Stack Orchestration Platform) along with relevant experience.

• Understanding of basic concepts in Kubernetes (K8S), WebScale, etc., is a significant advantage.

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code methodologies.

• Proficiency with Git and GitHub.

• Experience with Linux shell scripting and Python programming.

• Familiarity with Ansible.

• Ability to perform well under pressure, manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and utilize time efficiently.

• A strong desire and exceptional ability to learn new skills.

• Holding a Linux certification is advantageous.

• CCNA or CCNP certification is a plus.

• Practical experience with Software Defined Networking and distributed systems is beneficial.

• Knowledge of overlay and tunneling technologies is an asset.

• Documented success in a collaborative team environment, especially in startup settings.

• Previous experience with one or more Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI, Alibaba Cloud, etc.) is a plus.
