Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Paraguay.

📋 Description

• Oversee WWF's Azure infrastructure across both production and staging environments.

• Set up Azure subscriptions and associated resources.

• Construct and launch virtual machines for Windows, SQL, Red Hat, and firewall applications.

• Configure Microsoft Entra tenants and establish SSO for Azure Enterprise Apps.

• Manage role-based access control (RBAC), user groups, and identity security protocols.

• Proactively apply system patches and automate workflows utilizing PowerShell and Graph API.

• Develop backup strategies and disaster recovery plans.

• Troubleshoot networking issues across VNETs, sites, and tenants.

• Administer firewalls, load balancers, and both Azure and Cloudflare DNS.

• Offer expert support for issues related to Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.

• Lead projects from inception to completion while liaising with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Occasionally perform after-hours or weekend work for critical outages or scheduled maintenance.

• Enable WWF-US and country offices in South America, Central America, Africa, and Asia to operate securely and efficiently.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline.

• At least 8 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 6 years in the IT sector.

• Proficient in both verbal and written English and Spanish.

• Experience in managing large-scale enterprise IT infrastructures.

• Extensive hands-on knowledge of maintaining highly available and resilient Azure production environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, as well as Windows and Linux servers.

• Proficient in managing Windows domains and Active Directory.

• Experience with PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation, and deployment orchestration.

• Familiar with the provisioning and management of access for Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Foundry.

• Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, and Copilot Agents within enterprise Azure/M365 environments, including configuring data access controls and governance.

• Significant experience in building, deploying, and managing Azure virtual machines.

• Skilled in diagnosing complex cloud or hybrid system problems and creating scalable solutions.

• Expertise in infrastructure, Azure cloud architecture, identity and access management with Entra ID, and AI-driven automation technologies.

• Competence in configuring Microsoft Entra tenants and domains, including DNS and VNET setup.
