Senior Cloud Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Paraguay.

📋 Description

• Oversee WWF's Azure infrastructure within both production and staging environments.

• Allocate subscriptions and resources as needed.

• Construct and deploy virtual machines for Windows, SQL, Red Hat, and firewalls.

• Set up Microsoft Entra tenants and configure Azure Enterprise Apps SSO.

• Administer RBAC and user groups effectively.

• Proactively implement system patches and automate operations utilizing PowerShell and Graph API.

• Devise backup strategies and create disaster recovery protocols.

• Diagnose networking issues across VNETs, sites, and tenants.

• Manage firewalls, load balancers, and DNS for Azure and Cloudflare.

• Act as the escalation expert for issues related to Azure, Entra ID, and Microsoft 365.

• Lead projects from inception to completion while engaging with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Occasionally provide support during after-hours or weekends for critical outages or scheduled maintenance.

• Assist WWF-US and country offices in South America, Central America, Africa, and Asia.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in IT or a related discipline.

• At least 8 years of professional experience, with a minimum of 6 years in the IT sector.

• Proficiency in both verbal and written English and Spanish.

• Experience in managing large-scale enterprise IT systems.

• Extensive hands-on experience with highly available and resilient Azure production systems.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft Azure services, cloud architecture, cloud networking, Entra ID, Microsoft 365, and both Windows and Linux servers.

• Expertise in managing Windows domains and Active Directory.

• Skilled in using PowerShell and Graph API for Azure management, workflow automation, and deployment orchestration.

• Familiarity with provisioning and managing access for Fabric, Power BI, and Azure Foundry.

• Experience integrating Microsoft Copilot for M365, Copilot Studio, and Copilot Agents into enterprise Azure/M365 environments, ensuring data-access governance.

• Significant proficiency in building, deploying, and managing Azure virtual machines.

• Ability to diagnose complex cloud or hybrid system issues and develop scalable solutions.

• Familiarity with technical troubleshooting methodologies.

• Enterprise-scale expertise in infrastructure, Azure architecture, identity and access management with Entra ID, and AI-driven automation technologies.

• Skills in configuring Microsoft Entra tenants and domains, including DNS and VNET configurations.

• Strong commitment to inclusion and alignment with WWF values.

• Current residency and authorization to work in Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Belize, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Suriname, or Guyana is required.
