Senior Cloud, DevOps Engineer – AWS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Establishment and operation of cloud infrastructure in enterprise and regulated environments

• Implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform

• Managing CI/CD pipelines and container environments with Docker and Kubernetes

• Shaping cloud architecture with respect to cost, security, and scalability

• Driving automation, monitoring, and observability

• Troubleshooting time-sensitive incidents

• Collaborating closely with development teams, security, and product owners within a DevOps culture

• Developing productively with AI tools such as Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor

• Depending on the project, addressing cloud and platform topics for large corporations, the public sector, as well as enterprise and medium-sized clients

⛳️ Requirements

• Senior-level expertise with the ability to deliver independently from day one

• In-depth knowledge of AWS architecture and operations

• Ideally, AWS certification as a Solutions Architect or DevOps Engineer

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code: Terraform or CloudFormation

• Proficient in Docker and Kubernetes

• Familiarity with CI/CD: Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions

• Knowledge of Git and agile working methodologies

• Fundamental understanding of Linux, networking, and security principles

• Scripting experience with Python, Bash, or Go

• Proficiency in German at C1 level or higher

• Productive use of Claude Code, Copilot, and Cursor is mandatory

• Quick acclimatization to new environments

• Advantageous: IAM, Cloud Security, Grafana, Prometheus, Apache Kafka, Azure, or GCP
