Senior Cloud Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and execution of intricate cloud solutions for clients with advanced requirements.

• Offer expert strategic and technical advice on cloud architecture across various platforms.

• Create and architect complex cloud solutions that encompass multi-cloud and hybrid settings.

• Direct architectural assessments and provide authoritative insights on design choices.

• Implement and enhance advanced cloud security controls and compliance frameworks.

• Perform cloud cost optimization evaluations and offer strategic recommendations to enhance ROI.

• Mentor and provide technical direction to junior cloud engineers and architects.

• Lead client engagements as the main technical authority on cloud solutions.

• Promote the adoption of cloud best practices and emerging technologies throughout the organization.

• Advise clients on the secure adoption and integration of enterprise AI platforms (such as Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilot Studio, Claude Enterprise, or ChatGPT Enterprise), focusing on governance and data management considerations.

• Counsel on data preparedness for AI, including sensitivity labeling, permissions hygiene, and remediation of oversharing in Microsoft 365 and related platforms.

• Design multi-region solutions with advanced disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

• Develop and uphold cloud architecture standards, patterns, and governance frameworks.

• Transform complex business goals into detailed technical architectures.

• Assess and suggest new cloud services and technologies to address sophisticated business challenges.

• Spearhead proof-of-concept projects for emerging cloud technologies.

• Provide thought leadership on cloud strategy and roadmap formulation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in cloud engineering and architecture.

• Proven success in designing and implementing complex, enterprise-level cloud solutions.

• Senior-level certifications in various cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Solutions Architect Professional, GCP Professional Cloud Architect, AZ-305).

• Demonstrated experience leading cloud architecture for organizations or significant clients.

• Expert knowledge of multi-cloud and hybrid cloud architectures.

• Proven experience with cloud migration strategies and large-scale execution.

• Familiarity with industry-standard security frameworks and compliance mandates (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST, HIPAA, PCI-DSS).

• Exceptional problem-solving, troubleshooting, and analytical capabilities.

• Demonstrated leadership skills, including mentoring junior team members.

• Advanced automation expertise with Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD pipelines.

• Comprehensive understanding of Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Software as a Service (SaaS), and serverless architectures.

• Insight into enterprise AI deployments (e.g., Microsoft 365 Copilot rollouts, Copilot Studio agents, Azure AI Foundry, Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Q Business, Google Vertex AI, or Gemini for Google Workspace).

• Strong project management and stakeholder communication abilities.

• Experience designing solutions in highly regulated sectors (financial services, healthcare) is strongly preferred.

• Experience in the financial sector is a plus.

• Experience working at an MSP is a plus.
