Senior Clinical Database Designer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Taiwan.

📋 Description

• Create clinical databases for new studies in alignment with requirement specifications across various electronic data capture (EDC) systems.

• Implement post go-live modifications (database adjustments) based on revised requirement specifications within different EDC systems.

• Conduct unit testing on database designs, assist with User Acceptance Test (UAT) procedures, and resolve any UAT issues.

• Execute quality control (QC) reviews of databases created by other designers.

• Establish and configure the development environment for new studies.

• Assist the Data Manager in identifying and resolving issues pertaining to database design.

• Mentor and provide direction to new Database Designers on the procedures and best practices associated with database design.

• Evaluate study design requirement specifications to ensure compliance with EDC platform standards and Everest Standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences or Computer Science.

• Five years of relevant experience.

• Two to three years of experience designing clinical databases using Inform, DFdiscover, Clinical One, and/or Medidata Rave (or equivalent).

• Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with personnel at all professional and administrative levels.

• Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills in complex team environments.

• Exceptional presentation skills and the capability to foster relationships with both internal and external clients.

• Highly organized, capable of working independently, and proficient in managing multiple projects and tasks effectively.

• Proven ability to efficiently organize and integrate the activities of information processing personnel.
