Senior Claims Specialist – Workers Compensation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.

📋 Description

• Oversee workers' compensation claims in New Jersey from start to finish.

• Assess claim details and determine coverage, compensability, and eligibility for benefits.

• Create and implement strategies to secure prompt and favorable results for claims.

• Set and uphold appropriate reserves for claims management.

• Negotiate settlements to achieve claim resolutions.

• Maintain regular communication with claimants, insured parties, employers, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Prepare and deliver comprehensive reports on significant losses to both internal and external parties.

• Work in partnership with defense attorneys on litigation strategies and claim resolutions.

• Collaborate with medical case managers, surveillance providers, and other external resources.

• Ensure adherence to New Jersey's workers' compensation laws and regulations.

• Keep accurate and up-to-date documentation for all claims.

• Review claim trends and exposures to aid in effective decision-making.

• Deliver outstanding service while fostering strong relationships with clients and business partners.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years' experience in New Jersey workers' compensation claims adjusting, including handling complex or high-exposure cases.

• In-depth understanding of New Jersey workers' compensation laws, regulations, and best practices.

• Professional designations, such as Associate in Claims (AIC), are desirable.

• Availability to work during Eastern Time Zone business hours.

• Willingness to travel occasionally as necessary.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capability to engage with various internal and external contacts.

• Must possess authorization to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
