Claims Associate – Liability

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Evaluate reported lower-level general liability claims to assess benefits owed.

• Ensure the continuous adjudication of claims in line with company standards and industry best practices.

• Manage lower-level liability and/or physical damage claims under close supervision.

• Assist claims representatives, examiners, and leads with more complex claims.

• Process general liability claims, assess compensability and benefits owed, monitor reserve accuracy, and submit necessary documentation to state agencies.

• Communicate claims actions and processing updates with claimants, clients, and relevant medical contacts.

• Ensure proper documentation of claim files and accuracy of claims coding.

• Process routine payments, prescriptions, and status reports for lifetime medical or defined-period medical claims when applicable.

• Maintain professional relationships with clients.

• Execute additional assigned duties and support organizational quality initiatives.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is mandatory.

• Licenses as required.

• A minimum of one (1) year of general office experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.

• Experience in the claims industry is preferred.

• Exceptional oral and written communication skills.

• Proficiency in PC applications, including Microsoft Office products.

• Strong analytical and interpretive abilities.

• Excellent organizational skills.

• Good interpersonal skills.

• Capability to work effectively in a team environment.

• Ability to meet or exceed Performance Competencies.

• Capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously and meet deadlines.

• Competency in computer keyboarding.

• Willingness to travel as required.
