This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

• Develop and sustain effective relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including clients, underwriting and service teams, and agents.
• Investigate the relevant coverage for our insured clients. Record coverage dates, limits, and any restrictions.
• Recognize and address potential coverage inquiries. Prepare reservation of rights and coverage denial documents for review and approval by the Supervisor/Manager.
• Examine the details of the loss by obtaining statements and supporting documents, such as contracts, repair cost estimates, expert evaluations, photographs, and correspondence.
• Maintain thorough documentation of activities within claim files.
• Apply judgment in determining legal liability for assigned claims and exercise settlement authority within defined limits, which may differ among carriers.
• Assign defense attorneys to respond to and manage lawsuits when appropriate. Oversee and guide defense counsel, independent adjusters, and experts.
• Identify claims with potential exposure that exceeds authority and inform the Supervisor/Manager.
• Assess, set, or recommend reserves for each claim file being managed.
• Compile written reports in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Manage claims in compliance with the Fair Claims Practices 790.03 regulations.
• Provide insured clients, claimants, underwriters, and carriers with regular updates on the status of claim processing.
• Consult with Supervisor/Manager regarding unique and complex claims.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in construction defect claims management is preferred.
• A college degree or equivalent claims management experience is required.
• Over 10 years of litigation management experience is preferred.
• Must possess an individual adjusting license for a designated home state and be willing to obtain any additional required adjusting licenses as necessary.
• Strong proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
