This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Investigate and manage intricate bodily injury and property damage claims with mid-to-high exposure.

• Oversee external defense attorneys, independent adjusters, experts, and other service providers in the claim management process.

• Supervise vendors engaged in investigations, cost management, expert witness services, and litigation oversight.

• Ensure that claims are processed correctly in accordance with the relevant jurisdictional regulations.

• Notify the Claims Manager about any changes or proposed amendments in laws impacting Ryder's Liability program.

• Support the Claims Manager in identifying potential risks and suggesting appropriate solutions.

• Collaborate with field and operations management, legal counsel, safety managers, clients, insurance providers, and third-party claimants.

• Communicate with the Law Department regarding significant cases and keep field operations updated on the status of claims.

• Recommend and establish reserves based on anticipated ultimate payouts and documented developments in the case files.

• Prepare detailed internal reports.

• Engage with primary and excess insurance carriers as well as reinsurers on files that meet reporting criteria.

• Perform additional responsibilities as assigned.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is mandatory.

• A minimum of five (5) years of experience in Casualty Claims is required.

• Proven capability to manage mid-to-high exposure claims effectively.

• Ability to cultivate strong relationships with customers.

• Strong dedication to customer service.

• Excellent interpersonal skills.

• Proficient verbal and written communication abilities.

• Thorough understanding of applicable laws and regulations.

• Familiarity with relevant medical and legal terminology.

• Advanced technical skills in claims management.

• Exceptional negotiation skills.

• Ability to interact effectively with claimants and plaintiff attorneys.

• Possession of Adjuster License(s) is advantageous.
