Senior Claims Examiner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Assess coverage requirements

• Investigate, evaluate, and manage the resolution of all nonsuit and litigation claims

• Ensure appropriate reserving for all losses

• Engage in recognized safety and marketing initiatives

• Assign tasks and oversee the activities of independent adjusters and other service providers

• Collaborate effectively with clients, brokers, attorneys, and various departments

• Identify opportunities for subrogation and risk transfer

• Prepare detailed Substantive Claim Reports

• Handle reinsurance reporting

• Draft comprehensive claim correspondence, including communications regarding coverage positions

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or relevant life experience

• Minimum of five years of experience in managing general liability claims

• Possession of a General Adjuster’s license in the designated home state and ability to obtain licensing in other states

• Excellent telephone communication skills

• Proficient in the use of a personal computer

• Valid driver's license required

• Willingness to travel occasionally
