Senior Claims Auditor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Iowa, +6 more states.

📋 Description

• Timely and accurate auditing and processing of crop insurance claims.

• Provide customer service to agents and producers through the review and processing of medium to complex claim files.

• Act as a subject matter expert in at least one area of claims auditing.

• Offer guidance and expertise to colleagues.

• Maintain consistency and quality across all audit activities.

• Liaise with underwriters, adjusters, agents, and producers to address claim-related issues.

• Identify problems, devise solutions, and recommend effective communication of resolutions.

• Utilize Loss Adjustment Manuals, policy provisions, Standard Operating Procedures, and internal resources to resolve issues.

• Ensure adherence to Federal, State, and internal policies and procedures.

• Investigate and resolve complex claims issues with minimal supervision.

• Travel for meetings and training sessions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in crop insurance is preferred.

• Proven track record in auditing and processing crop insurance claims is preferred.

• Familiarity with Federal Crop Insurance Corporation (FCIC) policies.

• Knowledge of company policies, procedures, and associated software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and general technical/computer systems.

• Strong interpersonal, oral, written, and communication skills.

• Ability to engage effectively with both internal and external customers.

• Competence in processing moderate to advanced-level crop insurance claims.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.

• Willingness to travel for meetings and training sessions.

• Ability to perform sedentary work while sitting or standing continuously.

• Close visual acuity necessary for data analysis, computer terminal work, extensive reading, and visual inspections.
