This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Manage intricate, non-catastrophic first-party injury claims.

• Analyze insurance policy language, assess policy coverages, and establish reserves for assigned Accident Benefit claims.

• Investigate, negotiate, and resolve accident benefits claims of moderate to high complexity through phone, in-person meetings, and written correspondence.

• Follow best practices as outlined in Allstate's policies and procedures.

• Comply with all legislative and regulatory mandates.

• Ensure thorough documentation of all files.

• Resolve claims within personal authority and adhere to company protocols for claims beyond personal authority.

• Establish and clarify customer service expectations.

• Take ownership and responsibility for addressing customer issues.

• Manage a caseload typical of a Senior Claim Advisor in Accident Benefits.

• Communicate and interact professionally with claimants, vendors, medical professionals, and legal representatives.

• Collaborate effectively with a team of Accident Benefit Adjusters and Claims Assistants.


⛳️ Requirements

• Required: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience.

• Minimum of 2-4 years of relevant Ontario Accident Benefits experience outside the MIG.

• Completion or intent to pursue CIP designation is preferred.

• Prior insurance experience with knowledge in injury claims, medical rehabilitation concepts, and medical terminology is preferred.

• Strong time management and organizational abilities, with capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

• Excellent critical thinking skills to assess strengths and weaknesses of claims.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, coupled with a dedication to exceptional customer service.

• Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
