This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and oversee civil engineering design projects, ensuring effective communication and coordination with both clients and internal design teams.

• Provide mentorship and guidance to engineers, promoting a collaborative and innovative work environment.

• Review designs for quality assurance, assist engineers in overcoming complex challenges, and drive standards throughout the department.

• Spearhead and manage the implementation of team and departmental initiatives aimed at enhancing our tools and processes continuously.

• Utilize current engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete engineering tasks, supporting other civil, structural, and electrical design workflows as needed.

• Create comprehensive plans, specifications, and observation reports that are precise and adhere to sound utility-scale solar engineering practices.

• Suggest modifications to development criteria and design features to enhance quality and project outcomes.

• Strategically plan and achieve project objectives by leveraging experience and sound judgment.

• Review and verify design computations conducted by the internal civil design team to guarantee accuracy and compliance.

• Prepare thorough reports and correspondence regarding the direction and progression of assigned projects.

• Evaluate plans and specifications for constructability, safety, and risk management considerations.

• Maintain a value engineering mindset throughout all phases of development, design, and construction.

• Collaborate closely with business and engineering personnel across various markets and technical disciplines.

• Engage with clients to comprehend their technical requirements and identify optimal, feasible solutions.

• Support marketing, sales, and business development efforts within the designated market.

• Exhibit a high level of creativity, out-of-the-box thinking, and design ownership.


⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent is mandatory.

• Civil Professional Engineer (PE) registration is required, with an NCEES Council Record being preferred.

• A minimum of 10-12+ years of civil engineering experience is essential, including at least 8+ years in the design and development of utility-scale solar, preferred.

• Proficiency in large-scale solar grading design and earthwork calculations is required.

• Experience in the detailed design of solar facilities with challenging topographic, environmental, and non-participating infrastructure constraints is highly sought after.

• Knowledge in stormwater management and permitting is highly desired.

• Experience in developing Spill Prevention Control and Countermeasures Plans (SPCC) and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP) is preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise and working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil 3D is preferred.

• Proven experience with Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.

• Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States.
