Senior Citrix Netscaler Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Configure and oversee the Citrix NetScaler Gateway to ensure secure remote access, SSL offloading, and effective traffic management.

• Implement Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB) and high availability (HA) solutions across various data centers.

• Deploy and sustain Secure Private Access hybrid environments, ensuring seamless integration with Citrix Workspace and StoreFront.

• Set up SSL/TLS certificates for NetScaler Gateway, ensuring adherence to enterprise FQDN and certificate policies.

• Implement Application Firewall (AppFW) and traffic policies to safeguard against web application threats.

• Manage authentication profiles and integrate with OIDC/SAML IdPs for secure identity management.

• Monitor ADC performance, resolve latency issues, and enhance traffic flows.

• Maintain system requirements: NetScaler versions 13.1/14.1 or later, Windows Server 2019+, SQL Server 2019/2022 for logging and monitoring.

• Ensure proper configuration of communication ports and callback URLs for Secure Private Access.

• Collaborate closely with network, security, and application teams to align ADC solutions with business objectives.

• Document configurations and policies while providing training to operations personnel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of practical experience with Citrix ADC/NetScaler in enterprise or telecom settings.

• In-depth knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, SSL/TLS, VPNs, and load balancing techniques.

• Experience with hybrid deployments (on-premises + cloud: AWS, Azure, GCP).

• Familiarity with Citrix Virtual Apps/Desktops integration.

• Understanding of SQL Server for monitoring and logging databases.

• Certifications such as Citrix Certified Professional – Networking (CCP-N) are highly preferred.
