This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Missouri.
• Take on a significant leadership position in facilitating and supervising Safety National’s ceded reinsurance placement and analysis in collaboration with the Treaty Committee.
• Work closely with underwriting, actuarial, accounting, claims, brokers, and reinsurers to create effective reinsurance solutions that safeguard the company's financial integrity while aligning with strategic business goals.
• Direct the management and execution of intricate reinsurance programs, oversee facultative placements, coordinate treaty renewals, and guarantee precise reporting and documentation for all ceded reinsurance operations.
• Act as a reliable subject matter expert, offering counsel to internal business partners, nurturing strong relationships with brokers and reinsurers, and promoting process enhancements through standardization of reporting and system improvements.
• A Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Risk Management, Accounting, or a related discipline is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in underwriting, accounting, and claims processes is essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of broker market reinsurance contract language and the associated insurance policies and coverages.
• Strong financial expertise with knowledge of statutory and GAAP reporting.
• Proven experience in supporting or managing reinsurance placements, treaty administration, and facultative placements.
• Competence in preparing financial, operational, and management reports.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong communication skills, strategic thinking ability, and capability to collaborate across diverse business areas.
• Experience in budgeting and forecasting both revenue and expenses.
• Familiarity with insurance company operations.
• Advanced skills in Microsoft Office Suite and intermediate skills in databases and data queries.
• Capability to forge and sustain productive relationships with brokers, reinsurers, and internal stakeholders.
• Must currently be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
