This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Responsible for both strategic and operational aspects, with direct accountability for product categories, supplier strategies, and a significant impact on costs, quality, and availability.
• Develop strategies: implement supplier strategies and cultivate a resilient network of suppliers.
• Negotiation & analysis: lead intricate price negotiations and conduct ongoing market and trend analyses to secure competitive advantages.
• Decision authority: assess and compare technical product solutions alongside internal stakeholders and make informed sourcing decisions.
• Value analysis: perform should-cost analyses and adopt Design-to-Cost approaches in product development.
• Technical interface: identify and unlock savings potential through specification modifications and alternative materials.
• Process structuring: evaluate and create scalable procurement processes suitable for a growing environment.
• Automation: standardize workflows within ERP and procurement systems.
• Drive procurement and transformation initiatives (particularly indirect procurement / C-parts) with focused implementation and an independent working style.
• Serve as a strategic partner to Engineering, Operations, and Finance; facilitate internal knowledge transfer within the team.
• Manage categories utilizing KPIs and comprehensive reporting.
• Actively foster cross-functional collaboration and share best practices within the team.
• A degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a comparable qualification.
• Several years of experience in strategic purchasing or category management, preferably in building technology, electrical engineering, or SHK (sanitary/heating/air conditioning).
• Proven experience in leading negotiations and in establishing and nurturing supplier relationships.
• Familiarity with Cost Engineering, Design-to-Cost / Design-to-Value methodologies, or technical cost analysis.
• Strong data-driven and analytical mindset with a solid understanding of cost structures and market dynamics.
• Strategic thinker who acts practically and enjoys taking responsibility in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to be assertive and persuasive when interacting with internal and external stakeholders at all levels.
• Proficient in ERP systems and modern procurement tools, with a keen interest in advancing digital procurement processes.
