Senior C++ Engineer, Medical Devices

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Design, create, and maintain software applications utilizing contemporary C++.

• Introduce new features while adhering to established architectural guidelines and coding standards.

• Enhance applications for optimal performance, scalability, and effective memory utilization.

• Work collaboratively with architects and technical leaders to convert system designs into high-quality implementations.

• Participate in component design, interface development, and API creation.

• Integrate software with backend services, third-party libraries, and hardware components as necessary.

• Create and uphold unit and integration tests to guarantee software quality.

• Analyze and resolve defects through root cause analysis and debugging.

• Engage in code reviews and contribute to ongoing improvements within the codebase.

• Keep technical documentation current and ensure adherence to project and regulatory standards.

• Utilize AI-driven development tools when applicable to enhance software delivery and engineering efficiency throughout the software development life cycle (SDLC).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software development.

• Extensive experience with modern C++: C++17/C++20.

• Strong grasp of object-oriented design principles and software architecture.

• Proficiency in debugging, performance enhancement, and testing methodologies.

• Familiarity with Git and Agile development methodologies.

• Experience utilizing AI-assisted development tools.

• Preferred: Experience in the medical device field or other regulated sectors.

• Knowledge of ISO 13485 or similar regulatory standards.

• Experience with hardware integration, embedded systems, or device communication.
