Senior Buyer – Indirect Materials, Services – Semiconductor, Backend

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Responsible for the strategic and operational procurement of indirect materials, services, machinery, equipment, and testing equipment for semiconductor backend manufacturing.

• Overseeing tenders, price negotiations, and the awarding of contracts.

• Developing, building, and assessing a global supplier network.

• Collaborating closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, and Finance teams.

• Managing CAPEX investment projects related to machinery, equipment, and testing equipment.

• Identifying and implementing cost-saving and efficiency initiatives.

• Supporting and actively influencing the digital transformation of procurement through eProcurement, SRM systems, and data analytics.

• Ensuring adherence to compliance, sustainability, and quality standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• A university degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent qualification.

• Several years of robust procurement experience involving indirect materials and services, as well as machinery, equipment, or technical capital goods.

• Ideally, familiarity with semiconductor backend manufacturing and experience with packaging and test equipment.

• Background in project and investment procurement (CAPEX) and global supplier management.

• Proficiency in eSourcing, eProcurement, data analytics, KPI tracking, and process automation.

• Exceptional negotiation and contract law capabilities, coupled with a strong technical inclination.

• Experience with procurement and ERP systems like SAP.

• A structured, independent working style along with strong teamwork and communication skills in an international setting.

• Business-fluent in both German and English.
