Senior Business Travel Consultant – Out of Hours

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Provide support for ALTOUR travel operations outside standard working hours.

• Assist clients whose travel plans have been disrupted or who require urgent bookings.

• Handle last-minute and urgent travel arrangements for clients in Corporate, Media, Entertainment, and Contractor sectors.

• Respond to client inquiries via phone and email with professionalism, efficiency, and courtesy.

• Offer expert guidance on all travel-related matters.

• Uphold the customer service standards established by the daytime team.

• Communicate effectively as part of a cohesive internal and external team.

• Issue, reissue, and recalculate international and domestic airfare.

• Identify cost-effective global routes and arrange flights, rail, hotel, and ground services.

• Provide additional quality control for daytime team processes when call volume allows.

• Analyze global travel risks and relay pertinent information to senior management.

• Generate and deliver traveler-tracking reports for clients during significant events.

⛳️ Requirements

• Familiarity with a GDS, preferably Sabre; cross-training is available for suitable candidates.

• Essential experience in Fares & Ticketing Level 1 & 2, or equivalent.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

• Strong understanding of geographical locations and destination products.

• Good knowledge of various airlines.

• Awareness of global events and their potential impact on travel.

• Strong organizational skills.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Adaptable mindset and eagerness to create innovative travel solutions under pressure.
