Senior Business Systems Analyst – Automation and Workflow Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee all facets of the Software Development Lifecycle pertaining to data warehousing and reporting solutions.

• Assess requirements, pinpoint report content and functionalities, document the SDLC, and propose designs and solutions.

• Identify and recommend enhancements for reporting in both existing and new processes utilizing enterprise business intelligence tools.

• Collaborate across various business areas, applications, data domains, and technologies.

• Document business requirements and functional design specifications for conversions, interfaces, and reports.

• Facilitate joint discussions on business/IT requirements and solutions, along with stakeholder review meetings.

• Detect functional gaps and opportunities for improvement.

• Manage issue resolution with cross-functional teams throughout the design and development phases.

• Define and document use cases, scenarios, and test scripts in collaboration with users.

• Develop and carry out test plans.

• Produce process, training, and operational support documentation.

• Ensure timely delivery of requirements in distinct phases.

• Research, define, and assess data requirements and specifications.

• Analyze data and data structures from various systems to enhance business processes through business intelligence and data analytics.

• Guide and mentor other Business Systems Analysts.

• Serve as the intermediary between business clients and technical teams throughout projects and process enhancements.

• Collaborate with IT and departmental project analysts and managers.

• Keep abreast of technology trends, solutions, and vendors.

• Execute other job-related responsibilities as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience is required.

• A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in business requirements analysis and data analysis is essential.

• In-depth knowledge of state and federal laws and regulations concerning credit union compliance, including bank secrecy and anti-money laundering legislation.

• Proficiency in analyzing business requirements and data.

• Experience with data warehousing and reporting solutions is mandatory.

• Familiarity with enterprise business intelligence tools is required.

• Knowledge of SDLC documentation, Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), and Functional Requirements Documents (FRDs) is essential.

• Capability to define use cases, scenarios, test scripts, and test plans.

• Ability to assess data and data structures from diverse systems.

• Skill in coordinating with cross-functional business and technical teams.
