This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +3 more states.
• Become a part of our innovative CLO Business Solutions team as a Senior Business Solutions Analyst.
• Engage in planning, business analysis, workflow design, system integrations, and thorough documentation.
• Take the lead on large, intricate projects with minimal supervision.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and provide mentorship to fellow analysts.
• Represent UMB in both client-facing and industry environments.
• Create and execute highly efficient and tailored workflows for clients and product offerings.
• Collect requirements from internal teams and external clients, document them, and strategize implementations.
• Collaborate directly with internal project managers and technology partners to deploy large-scale technical solutions.
• Work alongside Operations, Relationship Management, and Analytics teams to improve client solutions.
• Reduce risks in operational workflows by redesigning or automating processes as needed.
• Develop data reconciliation models and data flows using available line-of-business tools.
• Oversee all projects and deliverables within SharePoint, JIRA, OneNote, etc.
• Generate PowerBI reports for both external clients and internal teams.
• Educate business teams on client workflows, products, and services.
• Collaborate with senior team members and leadership on business strategy.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• 7 years of experience in financial industry technical projects or relevant roles, including at least 5 years focused on loan market-related technical projects.
• Proficiency in Advanced MS Excel.
• Knowledge of SQL (MSSQL, Oracle, SQLite, Access).
• Extensive understanding of corporate bank loans.
• Experience with diverse structures of bank debt such as CLOs, Interval funds, ABLs, Private debt, CFOs, Rated Debt Feeders.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the full trade cycle, including settlements, closings, loan administration, and loan agency.
• Strong skills in client relationship management.
• Ability to deliver a positive client experience through various methods, including associate engagement, technology, workflows, and processing.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a keen attention to detail, capable of high-level communication with both internal and external (client-facing) audiences and able to independently manage client communications without senior oversight.
• Proven track record of independently designing, leading, and executing large, complex projects with minimal supervision.
• Demonstrated leadership skills, including experience influencing clients, prospects, and senior internal stakeholders.
• Experience mentoring or coaching junior team members and establishing technical standards.
• Certification as a Corporate Trust Specialist (CCTS) or Corporate Trust Master Certification (CTMC) is preferred.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) or Agile/Scrum certification is preferred.
