Senior Business Intelligence Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina, +5 more states.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of and design the GCP data ecosystem, which includes BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage, collaborating with IT on security and access protocols.

• Develop and maintain Python-based ETL pipelines that extract data from Toggl, Rippling, Xero, and Salesforce into BigQuery.

• Manage the entire Tableau dashboard portfolio, encompassing connections, SQL, refresh schedules, quality assurance, documentation, and troubleshooting.

• Create dashboards tailored for executive, director, and operational stakeholders.

• Ensure data integrity across all analytics layers and identify whether issues originate in pipelines, dashboards, or source systems.

• Act as the primary point of contact for resolving dashboard failures and pipeline issues.

• Collaborate with Business Operations, Finance, People and Talent, Sales, and IT to convert business requirements into effective data solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Demonstrated success in managing a data or reporting platform from start to finish with minimal supervision.

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in Business Intelligence, Analytics Engineering, Data Engineering, or a combination of these fields.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform, specifically BigQuery, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Cloud Run, and Cloud Storage.

• Strong proficiency in Python development for building and maintaining ETL pipelines.

• Advanced SQL expertise with experience in cloud data warehouses.

• Proven experience in designing and constructing Tableau dashboards from scratch.

• Ability to independently analyze and resolve data issues across pipeline, dashboard, and source system layers.

• Excellent communication skills for articulating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

• Regular use of AI engineering tools such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Codex in daily tasks.

• Proficiency in English at a B2 level or higher.

• Preferred: background in professional services or project-based organizations.

• Preferred: experience with organizations having between 100 to 500 employees.

• Preferred: familiarity with Azure.

• Preferred: knowledge of dbt or dimensional modeling.

• Preferred: experience in supporting reporting for executive and director levels.
