This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and oversee business intelligence solutions, which encompass dashboards, reports, ad-hoc datasets, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with teams in Product, Actuarial & Advanced Analytics, Underwriting, and other insurance departments to gather, organize, and verify data from various sources.
• Audit, compile, and reconcile data to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• Present findings to business stakeholders and senior leaders, converting technical analysis into straightforward recommendations.
• Streamline manual reporting processes by creating scalable and reusable solutions.
• Utilize AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot in dashboard development, pipeline automation, code generation and review, and report quality assurance.
• Employ critical thinking to navigate ambiguous requests, assess trade-offs, and suggest suitable methodologies.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide mentorship to less experienced analysts as the Power BI expert.
• Assist in the implementation of new practices, processes, and procedures.
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5–7 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
• Proficient in advanced SQL, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
• Acknowledged expertise in Power BI; familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools is an advantage.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Notebooks, Pipelines, Dataflows, Power BI integration, and Python for Fabric Notebooks.
• Strong grasp of database structures, relationships, and dependencies.
• Excellent critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities with business stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Capable of peer mentoring and conducting peer reviews.
• Intermediate knowledge of the insurance domain and an understanding of MGA operations; experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Advanced hands-on fluency with AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
• Ability to articulate a specific problem that has been solved or automated using AI.
• Familiarity with AI prompting and workflow design, along with the judgment to validate AI outputs.
• High proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, charts, and graphing.
