This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Design, develop, and oversee business intelligence solutions, encompassing dashboards, reports, ad-hoc datasets, and visualizations.
• Collaborate with Product, Actuarial & Advanced Analytics, Underwriting, and other insurance departments to gather, organize, and verify data.
• Audit, compile, and reconcile data to maintain accuracy and integrity.
• Present findings and recommendations to business stakeholders and senior management.
• Streamline manual reporting processes and create scalable, reusable solutions.
• Utilize Claude, Microsoft Copilot, and similar AI tools for dashboard creation, pipeline automation, code generation and review, and report quality assurance.
• Clarify vague business inquiries, assess trade-offs, and suggest suitable approaches.
• Conduct peer reviews and provide mentorship to less experienced analysts as the Power BI subject matter expert.
• Assist in the implementation of new practices, processes, and procedures.
• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5–7 years of experience in data analytics or a related field.
• Proficient in advanced SQL, data modeling, and data visualization techniques.
• Established expertise in Power BI; familiarity with Tableau or other BI tools is an advantage.
• Practical experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Lakehouse, Data Warehouse, Notebooks, Pipelines, Dataflows, Power BI integration, and Python for Fabric Notebooks.
• Knowledge of database structures, relationships, and dependencies.
• Strong critical thinking and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities with business stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Capable of mentoring peers and conducting peer reviews.
• Intermediate understanding of the insurance domain and MGA operations; prior experience in the insurance industry is preferred.
• Advanced proficiency in AI, including regular use of Claude and Microsoft Copilot.
• Ability to articulate a problem that has been resolved or automated using AI.
• Knowledge of AI prompting, workflow design, and validating AI outputs.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, charts, and graphing.
