Senior Business Intelligence Analyst – Payments Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Assume responsibility for data that is not yet "analysis-ready," outlining processes to comprehend the how and why behind the numbers prior to creating any visualizations.

• Clarify the intricacies of VCC interchange, ACH, and check processing expenses to uncover hidden margins.

• Prepare the "Story of the Business" for C-suite executives and sub-department leaders to facilitate critical decision-making.

• Create and sustain PowerBI dashboards that monitor customer and vendor behaviors, pinpointing trends that indicate churn risk or growth potential.

• Generate data-driven forecasts for interchange revenue and operational savings to assist in quarterly business reviews.

• Serve as an internal consultant to identify high-value resource allocation opportunities, such as transitioning high-volume check expenditures to e-payments.

• Conduct thorough self-audits and reconciliations to ensure that every figure presented to leadership is impeccably accurate and defensible.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proficiency in SQL (complex joins, CTEs), PowerBI, and Excel (advanced modeling) is essential. Python skills are a strong advantage.

• A minimum of 4 years in a Business Intelligence or Financial Analyst position.

• Demonstrated experience in presenting complex data insights directly to C-level executives or Department Leads is required.

• Prior experience in the US payments sector (Interchange, ACH, VCC) is a considerable benefit.

• An exceptional attention to detail; you are the type of person who identifies discrepancies (such as mismatched figures between a report and a summary) before they reach stakeholders.
