Senior BI & Data Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Deliver immediate assistance to business units regarding their ad hoc data and reporting demands.

• Collaborate with internal and external customers and suppliers to comprehend the business needs driving requested computing projects.

• Create and implement reports and dashboards utilizing SSRS and Power BI.

• Contribute insights on data sources and quality for high-level data flow architecture.

• Design and develop ETL and integration solutions.

• Apply design patterns and industry best practices to build secure and robust integration applications.

• Actively engage with developers and other project stakeholders.

• Challenge existing processes and procedures (both administrative and technical), providing suggestions and perspectives for continuous improvement.

• Articulate technical ideas and concepts in layman's terms for the business audience.

• Follow instructions from and collaborate with senior members of the development team on various projects and tasks.

• Comply with and advocate for the environmental, health, and safety policies of AFL.

• Effectively communicate with and educate business users and mid/senior management about data warehousing and business intelligence technology in business terms.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of an Associate’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or Business Administration.

• 7-10 years of extensive data analysis experience.

• Proficient in reporting and data presentation concepts, preferably Power BI.

• Mandatory experience in writing SQL in Oracle or SQL Server platforms.

• Strong SQL skills and query writing capabilities, including data validation and performance optimization.

• Capable of understanding ETL processes and best practices.

• Experience in documenting and conveying designs that align with business needs.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication abilities.

• Experience in the manufacturing sector is preferred.
