
Senior Business Development Manager – Data Center Task Force

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.
• Business Model Innovation & Strategy: Create and validate innovative business models for partnerships in data centers, including energy campus concepts, powered land development, and integrated renewable solutions.
• Conduct market analyses, techno-economic evaluations, and feasibility assessments to pinpoint high-potential opportunities and strategic partners (e.g., data center development solution providers, firm energy suppliers).
• Develop and sustain a comprehensive playbook for entering and expanding within the data center market, incorporating insights from pilot initiatives.
• Pilot Project Execution: Oversee the execution of pilot projects, from identifying sites and engaging partners to negotiating contracts and launching projects, serving as the primary project owner.
• Structure joint ventures, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and infrastructure partnerships, ensuring alignment with company goals and risk management protocols.
• Capture and document lessons learned, converting pilot results into scalable business processes and offerings.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work alongside specialists in grid infrastructure, permitting, legal, finance, and commercial development to guarantee project success.
• Stakeholder Engagement & Market Development: Build and maintain relationships with data center operators, utilities, investors, and technology partners.
• Represent the organization at industry events, forums, and with regulatory agencies to position the company as a thought leader in renewable-powered digital infrastructure.
• Commercial & Financial Expertise: Lead the origination and closure of high-value deals, including land development, PPAs, and infrastructure services.
• At least 5+ years of experience in business development or commercial roles within the renewable energy, data center, or critical infrastructure sectors.
• Demonstrated success in designing and implementing new business models, managing pilot projects, and expanding new business lines.
• Strong skills in project management and cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced expertise in financial modeling, contract negotiation, and risk management.
• Exceptional communication, stakeholder management, and strategic thinking skills.
• Willingness to travel and represent the company in international markets.
