
Senior Business Development Executive – Biotech Solutions

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Take charge of new business acquisition within your designated territory, focusing primarily on hunting, prospecting, and converting opportunities in the Biotech sector.
• Formulate and implement targeted strategies for account entry to effectively engage early and mid-stage Biotech companies.
• Recognize customer challenges and proactively generate demand for integrated CDMO solutions concerning drug substance and drug product.
• Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial outreach to deal negotiation and contract finalization.
• Lead intricate deal structuring, pricing discussions, and negotiations that involve multiple sites and services.
• Cultivate strong relationships at the executive level with key scientific, technical, and business decision-makers.
• Collaborate across functions with subject matter experts, operations, finance, legal, and program teams to provide competitive and differentiated proposals.
• Maintain a robust and actionable pipeline, ensuring disciplined forecasting and CRM hygiene.
• Stay informed about market dynamics, competitor actions, and emerging Biotech trends to guide your pursuit strategy.
• Represent Thermo Fisher during senior-level customer meetings, industry events, and site visits within the global network.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in quota-carrying field sales or business development, specifically in CDMO services related to drug substance or drug product.
• Proven track record as a hunter, achieving consistent new logo wins and maintaining an active pipeline.
• Demonstrated capability to manage lengthy sales cycles, complex buying committees, and multi-year contracts.
• Strong commercial insight with experience in shaping solutions and influencing deal outcomes.
• A confident communicator with executive presence and exceptional negotiation skills.
• Highly competitive, self-motivated, and results-oriented mindset.
• Comfortable working in an environment with urgency, ambiguity, and minimal structure.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% to engage with customers and showcase Thermo Fisher locations.
• Bachelor’s degree in a Life Sciences field is required; an MBA or advanced scientific degree is preferred.
