This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.
• This role will be field-based and entails responsibility for either a designated geographical area or a set of accounts in Europe.
• Assess and evaluate contract development and manufacturing prospects with clients for the micronization sector.
• Discover, negotiate, and secure new development, technology transfer, and commercial supply opportunities for the micronization of APIs with new clients.
• Cultivate business relationships and expand opportunities with current clients.
• Forge strong connections with existing customers to foster repeat business while identifying potential new clients.
• Prepare thoroughly for calls and visits, anticipating and overcoming obstacles.
• Document and confirm customer requirements prior to proposing solutions.
• Create and deliver quotations for project development to clients.
• Collaborate with management, commercial operations, legal, and finance teams to draft and negotiate any development agreements and all commercial supply contracts.
• Responsibilities encompass, but are not limited to, pricing, contract modifications/extensions, forecasting, conducting periodic business review meetings, and assisting with various customer service-related matters.
• BA/BS degree in a scientific field, business, or a related discipline (an MS, MBA, or Ph.D. is preferred).
• At least 10 years of experience in business development/sales, ideally complemented by some scientific/technical background in pharmaceutical contract services (CDMO), API manufacturing, or the biotechnology and life sciences sectors.
• Familiarity with the proposal development process, business quotations, budgeting, and timeline management is essential.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills along with strong negotiating abilities are required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is necessary; experience with Salesforce.com is an advantage.
• Ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams is required.
• A demonstrated history of successfully penetrating new accounts is necessary.
• Must possess the ability to effectively organize and plan work, manage travel, and balance multiple priorities.
• Willingness and capability to travel up to 50% to engage with clients and visit Catalent's manufacturing sites in Dartford, UK, Malvern, PA, and other locations as required.
