This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Formulates strategic marketing initiatives, taking into account the agency's strengths, competitive landscape, and market dynamics.
• Identifies and secures lucrative new business prospects within target markets while developing and executing strategic plans that lead to a defined increase in market share.
• Fosters and sustains robust relationships with key agencies by delivering customized insurance solutions that address their unique requirements, enhancing agency retention and satisfaction.
• Provides education to agencies regarding product features, market positioning, and effective sales techniques.
• Propels revenue growth by meeting or surpassing established sales targets.
• May be responsible for devising and implementing cross-selling and up-selling strategies.
• Conducts thorough market research and competitive assessments to uncover trends, opportunities, and threats, aiding in strategic decision-making.
• Performs additional responsibilities as assigned.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related discipline.
• Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in strategic business development, marketing, or a similar role.
• Completion or ongoing progress toward relevant certifications such as Associate in Underwriting (AU), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC), Program in General Insurance (INS), or Associate of Risk Management (ARM).
• Strong comprehension of agency dynamics, marketing strategies, underwriting processes, and risk management principles.
• Exhibits excellent communication skills and the ability to cultivate relationships.
• Proficient in analyzing competitive data and industry trends.
• Ensures adherence to insurance laws and regulations, applying underwriting rules, guidelines, and rating manual standards.
• Possesses strong analytical skills with the capability to utilize data for informed decision-making.
• Demonstrates effective decision-making capabilities and a customer-centric approach.
• The position entails frequent day and overnight travel (60% - 80% of the time) to meet with agents and brokers.
