Senior Business Controller

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead regular prioritization meetings with Business Partners from Consumer, Institutional, Base, and Development to evaluate product launch pipelines and coordinate Finance support across various workstreams.

• Foster a culture of quality and compliance by managing the comprehensive product launch review process, keeping Finance Requirements documentation current, and ensuring all launch impediments have designated DRIs and ETAs.

• Collaborate with finance stakeholders, business leaders, and cross-functional teams to assess new product strategies, outline finance requirements, and facilitate timely implementation in a dynamic environment.

• Act as a trusted advisor to business partners, assisting them in navigating the Finance organization and scaling operations with minimal obstacles.

• Work alongside EAA and Finance Engineering teams to deploy new reporting capabilities and automate processes as needed.

• Conduct accounting treatment reviews for new products and strategies, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and internal policies.

• Collaborate with business and process owners to define, design, and implement controls that mitigate key financial risks and ensure ongoing operational effectiveness.

• Generate high-quality documentation, including fund flow analyses, key risk summaries, and executive-level status reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in accounting, finance, or a related field, with practical exposure to operational and accounting processes.

• Required Big 4 public accounting experience, showcasing a strong technical accounting foundation.

• CPA (or equivalent) certification is mandatory.

• Extensive knowledge of crypto products, ideally acquired at a leading crypto exchange or crypto-native fintech.

• Experience in the fintech industry with a robust understanding of the financial and regulatory environment.

• BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business.

• Demonstrated capability to independently manage cross-functional workstreams and influence stakeholders without direct authority.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience in producing audit-ready documentation and executive-level reports.

• Responsible utilization of generative AI, ensuring human oversight to deliver business-ready outputs and drive measurable enhancements in workflow efficiency, cost, and quality.
