Senior Bookkeeper

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• You will play a crucial role in assisting Australian SMEs to flourish by managing their complete bookkeeping cycle—from coding multi-currency transactions to confidently closing out the month.

• Your meticulous attention to detail and proactive problem-solving will transform intricate financial data into clear, actionable insights for clients.

• By optimizing processes, utilizing automation, and ensuring everything is precise and current, you will guarantee that each client interaction is seamless, empowering businesses to grow and thrive.

• Capture bills in Dext, code accurately (GST, tracking), match POs, prepare payment runs, and reconcile the AP ledger.

• Code daily bank/PSP feeds, identify discrepancies, and raise clear, actionable inquiries with clients.

• Manage multi-currency wallets, inventory/COGS connections, and payment gateways to uphold accurate records.

• Issue invoices, send statements, and follow up on overdue accounts to maintain a healthy cash flow.

• Post accruals, prepaids, depreciation, FX revaluations, reconcile balance-sheet accounts, and close periods.

• Prepare and submit BAS/IAS and compile TPAR data for reportable industries.

• Capitalize on additions, run depreciation, and reconcile assets to the GL.

• Configure and troubleshoot Xero applications and other integrations to enhance process efficiency.

• Communicate promptly and clearly with clients via the Visory platform to resolve inquiries and provide updates.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of Australian bookkeeping experience.

• Advanced Xero skills (Advisor Certified) and proficient user level in Dext as well as essential third-party applications such as Shopify and Deputy.

• Demonstrated experience with complex reconciliations, cash-flow management, multi-currency accounting, and inventory.

• Strong proficiency in Excel/Google Sheets.

• Diploma of Accounting or a higher qualification.
