Senior Bioinformatics Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and sustain a pipeline for extracting variants from genomic data, both on-demand and utilizing contemporary pipelining tools such as Prefect.

• Guarantee that pipelines are reproducible, scalable, and follow best practices in data analysis.

• Create and implement robust tools for the analysis of genomic data.

• Enhance existing code for improved efficiency and scalability.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Bioinformatics/Computational Biology, Computer Science, or a related discipline.

• Demonstrated experience in bioinformatics algorithm development and pipeline creation.

• Expertise in Python programming.

• Familiarity with other scripting languages, such as Perl, is an advantage.

• Solid understanding of genomics, genetics, and biology.

• Knowledge of databases, data management, and integration methods.

• Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git) and ideally, containerization technologies (e.g., Docker).

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities and capacity to work in a collaborative, interdisciplinary setting.

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in a Linux environment.

• Strong proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal.
