This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Burundi.
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable automated ETL/ELT data pipelines and data models.
• Create advanced dashboards and reporting tools to provide executive insights and facilitate deep analytical exploration.
• Implement and uphold standards for data documentation, metadata management, and data quality assurance.
• Review and enhance SQL queries and dashboard performance to ensure low-latency access to extensive datasets.
• Collaborate with non-technical teams to identify KPIs and convert business inquiries into technical specifications.
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers on best practices in data modeling and visualization.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics, or a related quantitative discipline.
• Over 5 years of experience in BI engineering, data engineering, or a highly technical analytics position.
• Hands-on experience in integrating data from various disparate systems into cohesive, high-integrity data models.
• Profound practical knowledge of data warehousing principles.
• Established experience with cloud data warehouses such as Databricks, Snowflake, or BigQuery, with a preference for Databricks.
• Strong grasp of dimensional modeling, including Star and Snowflake schemas.
• Familiarity with contemporary data stack tools such as dbt.
• Expert-level SQL capabilities, including complex joins, window functions, and performance optimization.
• In-depth expertise in at least one major BI platform like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or Sigma, with a preference for Omni and Power BI.
• Strong analytical and creative design skills, capable of transforming intricate solutions and system designs into clear narratives.
• Proven ability to thrive in a team-oriented, fast-paced environment while handling multiple concurrent projects and shifting priorities.
• Preferred: Experience with Git and CI/CD workflows.
• Preferred: Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Preferred: Experience working within a global team.
• Preferred: Experience in a fully remote work setting.
• Preferred: Background in the ResTech industry.
• Preferred: Experience with Salesforce.
